Lead Web Developer. 

This is a unique role to deliver SOA-orientated development projects during an amazing time of growth. Working in a brand-new product team, it’s not your average developer role - we’re looking for somebody pretty exceptional with a more strategic mind, who can also lead and mentor others in a key team. The organisation has ambitious plans for growth with a dependency on investment in the IT systems and projects you will deliver.

Lead Web Developer Role

  • You’ll be using your technical expertise to bring about cultural change

  • You’ll be passionate about Service Orientated Architecture and be able to develop code which delivers on this

  • You'll be implementing and enhancing automation in both testing and deployment activities

  • You’ll build relationships with, and deliver projects to stakeholders, which engage and educate

  • You’ll influence the direction of the roadmap

  • You’ll report directly to the head of development and work on the most interesting projects

  • You’ll mentor less senior members of the squad, and provide direction and guidance

Lead Web Developer Skills & Experience

  • You’ll be a talented developer, with a background in .NET core (C# particularly), and solid experience in creating REST Services and APIs

  • HTML, CSS and JavaScript (Angular.js ideally)

  • You’ll have worked in a strong Agile environment, with a focus on quick, automated deployment, continuous integration,TDD and automated testing

  • Azure exposure would be a bonus

  • You’ll be at a stage of your career where you can inspire others

  • You’ll have the sort of personality to drive change – to persuade, influence and cajole

  • You’ll be capable of more independent and strategic thinking than your average developer

  • You’ll understand the importance of positive PR when trying to effect change
