We have a hot-off-the-press requirement for an exceptional Project Manager to join an ethical organisation in Leeds City Centre. Part of a small, but growing team within the IT department, you will bring your wealth of experience and ideas to help to shape the function and make your mark on a variety of projects.


The Project Manager Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team of PMs within the IT department of a committed and forward-thinking organisation

  • You’ll be working on a range of projects and changes that make a real difference – you’ll be driven by doing meaningful work

  • You’ll directly support the Change Team Manager, being the right-hand person whom they can rely upon

  • You will be proactive, comfortable taking the lead, and help to mentor other members of the team

  • You’ll drive the improvement of the team, framework and practice

  • You’ll be an Agile champion, and promote agile working throughout the department

  • The role is diverse and you’ll see the results of your work in action

  • You will be able to manage and direct difficult conversations with senior stakeholders, challenge where needed and use your influence and negotiation skills to get the outcomes needed

  • You will hold the respect of your project team, leading them forward to deliver their projects on time and budget, and to the right quality

  • You need to be dynamic, articulate and driven, and just as comfortable in front of a Board Director as an end user or technical team member

Project Manager Essential skills

  • Significant formal Project Management experience across a variety of project sizes and budgets

  • Substantial experience delivering projects using Agile methodology

  • Excellent process and documentation skills

  • Demonstrable ability to manage multiple complex projects

  • Superb management of stakeholders at all levels

  • Able to work with third party suppliers and systems

  • Dynamic, articulate and driven personality

  • Experience in the financial sector, particularly on regulatory projects would be a massive bonus

  • Agile/Kanban exposure would be helpful

  • You must be a team player
