We have a fantastic role for a Business Analyst, with a strong systems/technical background. You’ll be working on a variety of changes and projects – no two days will be the same – with the knowledge that the work you and the organisation does directly and positively impacts the lives of millions of people across the UK.
Business Analyst role
You’ll be joining an established, but growing team within the IT department
You will be able to ‘get under the skin’ of a system, understanding how it functions, manipulates data, and ultimately, how it will be impacted by upcoming business change
You’ll elicit and document business requirements, and then work with architects and developers to determine and document how they can be delivered within the chosen solution
You’ll be supported by a strong team and empowered to take responsibility for your area
You’ll have a real appetite for continuous improvement, always spotting opportunities to improve process
You’ll be a ‘considerate disruptor’ – be able to build bridges, push and cajole as appropriate
You’ll be working on a variety of web applications, internal systems and BAU projects, usually at the same time
You’ll be proactive and innovative, and in return be valued, listened to and challenged
Business Analyst Skills and experience
You’ll be an established Business Analyst/Systems Analyst or Technical BA
You’ll be curious and be motivated by taking things apart to see how they work
Strong stakeholder management experience
Confident and proficient in various requirements elicitation methods (e.g. workshops, interviews, etc.) and strong skills in requirements management, documentation and elaboration
Able to talk to technical and non-technical people (and be understood by both)
You’ll be driven by ‘making things better’ and challenging the status quo
You’ll have an analytical mind and be detail-focused
Agile exposure would be beneficial
